$2,200,000 for the plaintiff who slipped and fell on ice in a parking lot. The plaintiff alleged that the building lot improperly removed snow following a storm. A portion of the pile of snow melted and then re-froze. The plaintiff underwent a lumbar and shoulder surgery.

$1,175,000 for a Pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle making a left turn. Faced with a police report that failed to squarely place the fault of the accident on the operator of the motor vehicle, we were able to secure video footage of the accident. With multiple fractures and surgeries, the case was resolved on the eve of trial with jury selection set to start.

$800,000 for our client who tripped and fell while walking backwards over a display rack inside a store. Both liability and injuries were contested by the defendant. The defendants alleged that the pallet was open and obvious and was not a trip hazard and further that the plaintiff was at fault for walking backwards. The plaintiff further had a history of neck pain. After the accident there were no neck complaints for a significant period of time. The plaintiff ultimately underwent a procedure to her neck.

$600,000 for a worker who injured his shoulder while pulling a pallet jack over a cable wire protector. The plaintiff was initially diagnosed with shoulder impingement. He subsequently underwent an arthroscopic shoulder surgery.

$532,000 to the plaintiff who fell down the exterior steps of the house she was renting. While the steps, at first glance, appeared to be pristine, an engineer upon inspecting the steps noted several deficiencies in the construction and maintenance of the steps which rendered the steps hazardous. The plaintiff underwent surgery for a fractured ankle.

$500,000 arbitration award (full policy limits). Our client was awarded the full insurance policy limits after a hearing. The plaintiff underwent a lower back surgery and hip replacement. The plaintiff was under doctors care just prior to the accident for degenerative hip pain and was also receiving treatment to her lower back concurrently. The plaintiff's surgeon testified at the arbitration that the back surgery was causally related to the accident. The defendants argued that their medical experts opined that the plaintiff's injuries were degenerative in nature and the surgeries were unrelated to the accident.

$450,000 settlement for the plaintiff who was bit by a dog on her wrist outside of an animal shelter. The defendants argued that the plaintiff startled the dog by attempting to pet it after previously being warned not to pet the dog.

After depositions, our office's motion for summary judgment on the issue of liability was granted. The plaintiff's principal injury was a left ankle tear that required arthroscopic surgery. The defendants argued that the plaintiff's first ankle complaint was not until many month's after the subject accident and an ankle MRI was not conducted until almost 3 years after the accident. The defendants fought the case until it was assigned to the trial calendar arguing that the causality of the ankle injury was doubtful.

The adverse driver argued that the plaintiff was speeding and he stopped his vehicle before being struck by the plaintiff. As a result of the accident he sustained injuries to his lower back that required injection procedures.
